Beñat Achiary is a Basque percussionist, known best for his vocal improvisation. He teaches vocal techique at the Bayonne conservatory of music and since 1995 has been artistic director for the "Errobiko Festibala" music festival. Achiary is one of the best vocalists in Europe today working in the field of free improvisation.
