Luisa Futoransky

Luisa Futoransky was born in Buenos Aires in 1939, but has resided in Paris since 1981. She has several studies and professions (music, contemporary and ancient Anglo-Saxon poetry, law…), some passions, sometimes dazzling, but her absolute fidelity lies in poetry. The profession she did not practice was law. She practices journalism and has collaborated in several literary and journalistic mediums.

Among her poetry books, those that stand out are: Partir, digo (1982), La sanguina (1987) and Antología poética (2002). The most recent are: Prender de gajo (2006), Inclinaciones (2006) and Desaires (with photos by José Antonio Berni, edited by the Centre for Modern Art of Madrid). Novels published: Son cuentos chinos (1983), De Pe a Pa (1986), Urracas (1992) and the unedited El Formosa. Essays published: Pelos (1990) and Lunas de miel (1996) and Crónica de supersticiones (2002).
